Every Thursday at Village North you'll find needles and crochet hooks flying as residents of the retirement community come together to enjoy each other's company and refreshments as they fashion their crafts. The group -- Busy Bees -- quilt, do cross-stitch, embroidery, crocheting and needlepoint. Some give their work as gifts to family and friends. Others donate their work to charity.
The group started meeting in June 2003 at the suggestion of Village North resident Carol Dill. "It is nice to see the group still meeting together, and it has been a wonderful addition to the activity programs offered here at Village North," says Mistee Baalmann, activities director.
